Palladium Shoe Palladium was founded in 1920 to make aircraft grade tires for the new aviation industry. Palladium layered canvas below the vulcanized rubber which resulted in an extraordinarily tough aviation tire. Soon, most of Europe’s aircraft were quipped with Palladiums. After World War II, Palladium shoe was born. The idea was to make a shoe as tough as their tires. Palladium boots were 1st introduced in 1947 with the still vaunted Pampa boot. Their outstanding performance was recognized immediately such that the French Foreign Legion adopted them for use. The same is also now true for the US Navy Seal Teams, they use these palladiums for their buds training.
